Carrie teaches a gentle, lighthearted, energetic, and playful style of yoga that emphasizes adapting to the individual and making the body comfortable in challenging positions.
Carrie has had a daily yoga practice since 1994; incorporating daily meditation since 1999. She has a 500 hour yoga teacher’s certification and a 750 hour yoga therapy and ayruvedic consultant certification from the Rocky Mountain Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda. She studied with Nischala Devi in 2001 receiving a certification in working with people with cardiac conditions as well as cancer.
Carrie feels blessed in receiving a wealth of knowledge about yoga and mediation from such wonderful teachers. She is currently working as a yoga therapist one-on-one; as well as an Ayurvedic consultant and yoga instructor. Carrie uses her knowledge of yoga asanas (poses), ayurveda, pranayama (breathing practices), and meditation to fit the needs and desires of the students in her classes.
Carrie has taught yoga since 1995, amassing over 2000 hours of teaching. Through the Yoga Alliance, Carrie is enabled to teach and certify yoga instructors as a part of their own 500 hours of yoga teacher training.
